During the last six years transnational regional co-operation has gained growing importance in regard to enhancing regional development.
Before starting the new program period of the Interreg Structural Funds for the years 2007-2013 NUTEK - the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth will arrange a two day conference in Stockholm on the 16-17th of February to present the results and good examples of Interreg III A, B and C. The event is followed with great interest by both regional and local key actors and 350 participants will be present at the two day meeting where the key speaker will be EU Commissioner Danuta Hübner, followed by several EU-Parliamentarians and Swedish politicians.
The plenary sessions will be on both days complemented by workshops focussing on elaborating some of the most successfull projects.
The VISP project will be presented by Eva Fabry, VISP project manager within Workshop 4 Polycentric development and networking between cities.
